Terms of Service
Last updated: July 14, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Mock Call, an AI-powered platform for practice interviews and mock calls operated by the team behind trymockcall.com (“Mock Call,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What Mock Call does
Mock Call provides AI-powered practice interviews and mock calls, delivered as live voice and, on eligible sessions, video conversations. An AI interviewer or role-play counterpart speaks with you in real time, and afterward the service produces an automated scorecard with feedback. Hiring customers can also use the platform to run structured interviews with their own candidates.
2. Accounts
Accounts and authentication are handled by our identity provider, Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
3. Credits and payment
Practice sessions are paid for with credits, purchased in packs. Credits:
- never expire;
- are non-transferable between accounts;
- are automatically refunded to your balance when a session fails to start or produces no usable result (for example, an empty transcript or a failed evaluation).
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Hiring customers may instead be billed through a recurring subscription, described at checkout.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulation;
- attempt to access, extract, or interfere with other users’ data, sessions, or recordings;
- resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties except as expressly permitted for hiring customers managing their own candidates;
- probe, scan, or attempt to break the security of the service, or misuse the AI to generate unlawful or harmful content.
5. AI-generated output
Scores, transcripts, and feedback are generated automatically by AI models. They are practice feedback only. They are not professional, legal, medical, or hiring advice, and they may contain errors or omissions. You should exercise your own judgment before relying on them.
For hiring customers: AI output is intended to assist human decision-making. It must not be the sole basis for any employment decision. You remain responsible for complying with all applicable employment, anti-discrimination, and data-protection laws when using the service to assess candidates.
6. Availability
We work to keep the service available and reliable, but we provide it “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and real-time voice and video depend on third-party providers and your own network and hardware.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mock Call and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
